The South Side Entertainment Patrol has significantly increased its presence in the East Carson Street corridor and surrounding areas. For five days, from August 7 to 11, officers were actively involved in enforcing various ordinances and laws, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining order in this busy part of the city, according to the City of Pittsburgh’s latest public safety report reflects.

The care taken in their patrols has resulted in the patrol carrying out 21 traffic stops and issuing 18 traffic citations. Parking wasn’t overlooked either: two notices were written and seven vehicles were towed, signaling a commitment to keeping the roads clear and complying with local regulations. In addition, officers issued 35 non-traffic citations, a testament to their vigilance in monitoring non-traffic activities of cars and trucks.

Even with regard to more serious crimes, the patrol’s efforts were not unsuccessful. They have made seven arrests these days. The charges filed are significant: an outstanding warrant, unlawful possession of firearms, possession of controlled substances, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, vehicle code violations, driving while license suspended, intent to transfer possession, and possession of firearms by a prohibited person .
