RIPCO Real Estate (RIPCO), a leading full-service independent brokerage firm providing leasing, investment sales, property management, debt and structured finance services, is proud to announce the hiring of Jon Paul Pirraglia as Executive Managing Director for the Manhattan market of the company to announce.
Pirraglia, who has been in the commercial real estate and restaurant and hospitality industries for a decade, will work closely with the RIPCO team to expand the company’s work in the food and beverage industry into the company’s multiple markets. He will be based out of the company’s Manhattan office.
“JP grew up in the restaurant business and understands how they work firsthand. His understanding of what is important to a restaurant owner is what has made him so successful as a broker,” said Mark Kaplan, RIPCO’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “We are confident that his strong relationships and background throughout the F&B sector will play a critical role in RIPCO’s growth as we continue to expand our services in the Tri-States and Florida.”
Before joining RIPCO, Pirraglia worked at BCD (Branded Concept Development) as Manager of Real Estate in 2017 and became a partner in 2021. Pirraglia’s joining of RIPCO follows the company’s recent announcement of its acquisition of BCD. Prior to BCD, Pirraglia worked in the retail leasing department at RHYS Commercial, now acquired by Newmark. In this function, he relied on a mixture of landlord and tenant representation. His background in the restaurant and hospitality industry comes from his role as a partner at OAK + ALMOND, a wood-fired New American farm-to-table restaurant in Norwalk, Connecticut. Checking accounts Pirraglia has worked on include Naya, Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque, Ani Ramen, Frank Pepe’s Pizzeria and Bareburger.
“Having worked with RIPCO on projects during my time at BCD, I am excited to join the team as the company has many experienced professionals to learn and gain experience from,” said Pirraglia. “I am constantly striving to expand my knowledge, resources and connections; and look forward to working with RIPCO to expand the company’s presence in the food and beverage industry.”
Pirraglia is a licensed real estate agent in New York State and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He graduated magna cum laude from Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
