Bayao Cafe
Quincy in the excellent Café Rubato in Hong Kong style now has another café in Hong Kong style or chaan Teng. Restaurants in this category are usually busy locations in Diner-style with Cantonese comforts (and often some western influences). Early visitors to the Bayao Cafe rave about the French toast and garlic chicken wings in the Hong Kong. Looking for something for the gram? The “Eced Bear” teas have a large teddy bear ice cube.

Black ruby
We are still amazed that Chalawan was closed last year, a Pan-Southeast Asian Date Night spot in Cambridge, which ended up on our annual top 50 restaurant list several times. But an exciting new restaurant in this room softens the blow: Black Ruby is open and shoots creatively popular Thai dishes with burgers. In addition to classic American burger topping, cheese and red onions, the Khao Soi Burger is crowned with a curry sauce in northern Thai style, inserted mustard green and crispy egg noodles. Also on the menu: Thai-inspired pasta, such as a linguine and shrimp dish that is reminiscent of Tom Yum soup.

Water & mouth
What is better than the aperitive hour? Italy’s “Apericena” culture that contains more hearty food. The Brick & Mortar team revises its cocktail cocktail spook into an ode to Apericena, and we are absolutely here for the happy drinks with low ABV and how the owners put it, “honest Italian cuisine”. Search for a debut in early March.
