About a dozen states have made takeaway cocktails permanent ;; another six have expanded the provision. Earlier this week, Governor Charlie Baker tabled laws that would extend some existing COVID-19 emergency response measures, including outdoor dining. Executive orders will expire on June 15 when the state of emergency is lifted, and bonuses will also expire. The bill could give local authorities the power to extend special permits for restaurants serving al fresco dining until November 29, 2021. Under the new legislation, a special allowance for al fresco dining expires on August 15.

“Liquor stores never closed. There are reports that liquor stores and packaging stores – their sales increased 30% in the 2020 pandemic. Meanwhile, the Massachusetts restaurant industry has lost over $ 7 billion,” said Alpine Restaurant Group Chef Joe Cassinelli .
