The real estate market is tough for buyers right now, but demand is still rising sharply in some locations amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
WalletHub, a personal finance website, released a report detailing where the best location to be a real estate agent is in 2021.
To determine the results, WalletHub compared more than 170 US cities on two key dimensions: “Employment Opportunities and Competition” and “Real Estate Health.” These two dimensions were then rated against 22 relevant metrics, including revenue per agent, median property price, real estate employment growth, and more. According to Walelthub, each metric was rated on a 100-point scale.
Two Massachusetts cities have secured spots in the top 100 list, with Boston 19th and Worcester 89th.
Boston ranked fifth for a list of locations with the “highest average annual real estate agent wage”.
Worcester, on the other hand, was ranked low for “the lowest health index on the housing market” (172).
