While we love secret terraces and sidewalk restaurants, the real meal outdoors is a roofing. They sit high above the city and their surroundings, and they will find everything from steak houses in the sky to breweries with a view. The Boston region has a lot to offer when it comes to roofs, and these are 12 of our favorites.
What has changed in this update: We said goodbye to a few standbies, including Daedalus on the Harvard Square, the roof in the Revere Hotel and the CitySide Tavern in Brighton.
(Note that the eating areas on the roof are usually dependent on the weather and can be closed with little announcement. It is best to search for updates directly with a restaurant before you run over.)
