2Life Communities Promotes Zoe Weinrobe to Chief of Real Estate

Brighton, MA–2Life communities announced the promotion of Zoe Weinrobe to Head of Real Estate, overseeing a portfolio that has seen unprecedented growth during her seven years with the organization.

In her previous role as real estate director, Weinrobe led the creation of nearly 400 affordable homes at 2Life while overseeing renovations of 2Life’s Golda Meir and Coleman Homes in Newton.

As Head of Real Estate, Weinrobe will expand on her success and lead the organization’s real estate development during a period of tremendous growth. 2Life is currently developing several major projects, including its Opus Newton middle-income housing model, a redevelopment of the JJ Carroll Apartments in Brighton with the Boston Housing Authority and Brooke House in Olmsted Village in Mattapan.

During her time at 2Life, Weinrobe has overseen completed projects totaling over $200 million in development costs and over $340 million in projects in development.

Prior to joining 2Life in 2016, Weinrobe was a vice president at Recap Real Estate Advisors, working with public housing authorities across the country on HUD’s Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program conversions, including renovations and new construction projects. Weinrobe also worked at Urban Edge CDC, the Cambridge Housing Authority and the City of Cambridge.

Weinrobe holds a master’s degree in urban planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and graduated cum laude from Cornell University. As Vice Chairman of Just A Start, a Cambridge-based community development corporation, and as a Trustee of the Watertown Affordable Housing Trust, Weinrobe remains passionate about preserving and building highly affordable, sustainable and beautiful housing for both seniors and families.
